Slave Narratives
http://moadsf.org/salon/exhibits/slave_narratives/flash.php
Slave Narratives contains dramatic and powerful first-person stories from those who have suffered under slavery. The narratives come from people across the globe from the 1700s to the modern day.
The goal of the online exhibit is to create a "space" where visitors can listen to the narratives while finding important additional materials. The exhibit focuses on the narratives themselves with a simple and understated graphic approach. The online exhibition was adapted from the audio exhibition “Slavery Passages,” one of several core exhibitions offered daily to visitors to MoAD’s downtown San Francisco facility.
The online exhibit is narrated by Maya Angelou. Other acclaimed actors read the individual narratives.
