for the Social Studies
The New York State Council for the Social Studies
is a professional association of teachers and supervisors at the
elementary, secondary, college, and university levels. Membership
is open to all persons who teach, supervise, develop curricular,
engage in research, or are otherwise concerned with social studies
education. The Council is a market-place of ideas...a forum...a
showcase for new materials, teaching methods, strategies, programs,
and personalities. Founded in 1938, the New York State Council for the
Social Studies has been for years one of the largest and most active
affiliates of the National Council for the Social Studies. New York State Council for the Social Studies is
affiliated with National Council for the Social Studies and is
a member of the New York State Council for Educational Associations. |
