2. Meetings

• Committee meeting was held at Convention, March 2010
• Communications with committee members were made through email and telephone calls.

3. Actions taken since last report:   

• Organized sessions for retirees at the 2010 NYSCSS/NYS4A Convention

• Organized retirees to act as support in various positions during 2010 Convention

• Proposal for amendment to NYSCSS Constitution that Retirees be given full membership privileges, including voting accepted at March 2010 BOD meeting.

• Nominated Barbara Bernard for the 2010 Continuing Service Award

4. Goals set for 2011:

• To organize sessions for retirees at the 2011 Convention
• To provide retirees to act as support as needed at the convention
• To contribute an article for or about retirees in an issue of Time & Place
• To nominate a retiree for the NYSCSS Continuing Service Award
• To continue to advocate for the needs and interests of NYSCSS retirees
